Re: Should Kat get back with Phil?
They were fun and I think brought out the best in one another...but the classic pairings probably will end up together long term.

Arrested on suspicion of murder and remanded. Not charged. Released after tampered DNA evidence with no criminal record.
Whether you agree with the lack of justice or not, even if it was an accident when trying to defend Theresa, is by the by. Sally's record is clean.
Bloody stupid story anyway. She wouldn't have said boo to a goose. Sally is great. I've always been a fan, but often, the writing for her, as it is for so many under-served characters, can be awful.

Sorry I wasn't here yesterday to wish you a happy birthday Milestone @Samantha_Isaacs
Re: Emmerdale : Thursday the 16/5/24 - " A Leopard Never Changes it's Spots...."
I don't think we have an hour long episode the week after next.
I shall therefore be spared 1 hour's worth of Emmerdale that week. Only 1/2 hour on Thursday and of course none on Bank Holiday Monday.

If they scrap it referees will get it in the neck and more abused for getting decisions wrong.

Re: Lasting Power of Attorney
Thank you everyone, such touching and frightening stories that you have shared.
You have given great advice and things to think about.
Conversations will start next week, we meet up for coffee every Saturday but it’s a public place to not suitable for such conversations but we visit him at home every week too so that seems the right place.
He has done and said some silly things this week , told blatant lies ( but he won’t see it as lies , his mum used to do the same) but today he accepted both my suggestion and offer of help sorting something out which is not normally something that happens.
He always looks for the most complicated solutions , if something is too simple, then it’s wrong as far as he is concerned.
Hopefully he will agree to LPA, I think the point about the LA would take control will hit home.
Thanks once again x

It looked and sounded great from the highlights I saw so I’m sure you’ll remember it for a long time.

Re: Better gameshows, please.
How common are celebrity shows? We have several hundred new episodes of Tipping Point, The Chase, Pointless, Bridge of Lies, Lingo and Countdown running throughout the year in daytime. We also have The 1% Club, Blankety Blank, The Hit List and The Wheel running in primetime.I apologise for sounding a bit naive previously. There is a lot I don’t know about how the TV industry works. I will remind you once again that I do believe that some formats for quiz shows and game shows are wasted on celebrities. I think that House of Games is the worst offender I can imagine in this manner. Taskmaster is also an example. When the TV execs were devising these ideas, they should have considered making them for the public, or at least done that alongside a celebrity version.
Celebrity shows are too common these days for me. It would surely be cheaper for TV execs to recruit average Joes like me instead, given that we don’t demand appearance fees.
There's plenty of opportunities for the average Joe to get on telly. The odd celebrity-only series doesn't take anything away from that.
Taskmaster and House of Games were almost certainly devised with celebrities in mind. I love Taskmaster but I really can't imagine a civilian series being very fun to watch; the fact we are (somewhat) familiar with these personalities already is the whole appeal. There are loads of opportunities for members of the public to get involved in the world of Taskmaster.

Who really cares about Auntie Margaret? . Also don’t get me started on the face pulling when they’re passing comment. Think they’ve had there day on the show.
Also I’m finding Lee’s over exaggerated laughing at Jenny’s remarks quite tiresome and not as funny as he thinks he is.
I feel a big shake up is needed the show is getting stale.
Same here - Ellie and Izzi are just boring, and seldom seem to even discuss the tv programmes. Nobody gives a damn about their various aunts or random people they mention. The producers need to look at the amount of screentime they are giving them, and cut it down an awful lot. I wouldn't be sorry to see them gone, but I don't think that's going to happen.
I used to find Jenny and Lee so entertaining but now it's all these supposedly funny tricks they play on each other. I muted the tv on Friday night when Lee sprayed dye or something into Jenny's hair. I couldn't endure the fake laughing that was about to follow, at something that as usual, was so staged and not at all funny.
I still enjoy the show overall, and I like the Siddiqui family, the Plummer brothers, Simon and Jane, Amira and Amani and a few more.
Dave and Shirl always a good laugh
They’ve become fake and scripted too. Along with Simon and Jane.
I can see a decline and the forced humour does not work.
Jenny and Lee are an example!
If any, who do you like?
None, anymore to be honest. I only watch it to get recommendations for things to watch.
For me it reinforces why I don't watch some of the programmes featured. Mainly the reality things like MILF Manor, I Kissed a Girl, Love Island, Naked Attraction, TOWIE, MIC and similar. IMO absolutely dumbed down programmes that makes non entities 'celebrities'. I'm sorry if it offends people that enjoy these but I hate the way they seem to exploit people.
